National Space Challenge proved to a revolution in the science programs in Malaysia and it is set to become as a new milestone for any future science program. In the year 2006, the program was launched and it will continue over a period of 9 years.

Starting from year 2005, the changes in format have been seen taking place with the fusion of Space Science Quiz and Space Science Camp and its benefits have been proven. This concept has been largely well received by various authorities especially by the Malaysian Ministry of Education, Piala Perdana Menteri and National Space Agency (ANGKASA) together with the participants themselves.

Going back and forth from here, this format will continue in the year 2006 with the high expectations that it will create an onset of interest in more students in the exploration in the field of space science in tandem with the efforts of National Space Agency (ANGKASA).
