National Planetarium, Malaysia

On the 23^rd June 2010 (8:30 am to 10:00pm), the National Space Agency (ANGKASA) with cooperation of Curriculum Development Centre, the Ministry of Education has successfully organized the Astronomy Workshop for Primary School Teachers at the National Planetarium.  The workshop was organized to provide science teachers about the basic knowledge of astronomy in accordance to the school syllabus, with the hope that they acquire sufficient knowledge and preparing them in the field of astronomy for enhancement of their teaching activities in school.

A visiting trip of 48 trainer teachers from the Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia Kampus Pendidikan Teknik leaded by their lecturer have visited National Planetarium on 25 April 2010 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. The visiting trip was given a warm welcome by Miss Lau Chen Chen, Research Officer.  The trainer teachers have been given the opportunity to visit the  National Planetarium’s Observatory and a brief introduction on existing robotic telescope system has been given by Miss Lau Chen Chen.  They had spent more time to ”Passpost to the Universe” show and visited to the Exhibition Gallery. The visit dismissed at approximately 1:00 p.m..

    On the 10 October 2009 (9:30 am to 12:00pm), 19 trainee teachers from the Malaysian Teachers Education Institute (Special Knowledge Campus) leaded by their lecturer, Mrs. Norzamziah Md. Noor had visited to the National Planetarium. 

        On the 18th May 2009 (8:30 am to 10:00pm), the National Space Agency (ANGKASA) with the cooperation of Curriculum Development Centre, Ministry of Education has successfully organized the Astronomy Workshop for Primary School Teachers at the National Planetarium.  The workshop was organized to provide science teachers about the basic knowledge of astronomy in accordance to the school syllabus, so that they can manage their class better and acquire sufficient knowledge and preparation for increasing teaching materials in school.
