On 11 April 2009, the National Planetarium will be organizing a small event in memory of the first manned-spaceflight by Yuri Gagarin in 1961. Students from different schools from around Kuala Lumpur will be performing with choirs, dances, traditional instrumentals and many more in part of this celebration. |

Planetarium shows are usually held at the National Planetarium in conjunction with events that are being organized by ANGKASA. On special occasions and events like "World Space Week" or Night Sky Observations and various other events, shows are being held for the major public in the Planetarium's unique Space Theatre which can hold up to 200 visitors for each show. |
