YURIS NIGHT CELEBRATION

The 2012’s theme of Yuri’s Night is Make an Impact. In Malaysia, the National Space Agency (ANGKASA), dedicated to increase space awareness among the public, held Yuri’s Night celebration on 14th April 2012 at Planetarium Negara, 53, Jalan Perdana, 50480 Kula Lumpur. Aimed at giving the public an opportunity to embrace space in an informal and relax environment, Planetarium Negara had opened its door from 9 am until 10 pm on the mentioned date and filled with various activity.

PRESS RELEASE PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE 21 MAY2012

Kuala Lumpur, 16 Mei - People across Sabah and Sarawak will be lucky enough to witness the phenomenon of Partial Lunar Eclipse on Monday, May 21, 2012. It will be seen as soon as the sun rises and ends at 6:50 am. Solar Eclipse occurs when the position of the Earth, Moon and Sun are in line and the Moon will cover up the surface of the Sun. People in China, Taiwan, Japan and the Western United State will be able to see the Annular Eclipse as the Sun will be visible in the form of a ring. However, people in Peninsular Malaysia will not be able to witness this phenomenon. The next Solar Eclipse will occur in November 2012.
